Nate Siemens of Fat Uncle
A third-generation almond farmer, Siemens still loves farming almonds the way his grandfather did: hand-picked right off the low-hanging fruits. Both Siemens and his wife, Bekki, come from an almond-farming background, cultivating almonds in San Joaquin Valley on their lush 18-acre almond orchard. While the farm has been in existence since 1963, Siemens began selling his specialty almonds four years ago. When coming up with a name for the farm, Siemens left that job up to his children, who coined the name “Fat Uncle” after one of their family members.
